Al: Last Changes
Low Polymorph » Devlog
Here are the changes I made addressing planned changes from the Open Beta's feedback.
Audio feedback to let the players know when they are successfully damaging an enemy.
Peyton's Flames and Freeze scripts have added lines to refer to objects on the Resource prefabs that the Spells script calls when a spell is cast. Sound effects now play only when the enemy is struck.
Audio feedback for when the player is being damaged.
The attack state machine should now play a sound when the player is damaged. Unfortunately, I have only worked with Monobehavior scripts before, so something about this set up is not working.
Fix the sound levels to where they are not too loud on some computers.
Volume is now .25 at height.
Add UI instructions to the open spellbook at the start of the level.
Using the assets that Faith created, I made spellbook UI with an opening animation, which displays all the controls, even the basic ones. We had a lot of comments about people being unaware of the shift to run option, as well as some about thinking the book was meant to do something (originally, it was supposed to be used for a healing ritual when you returned to the tower).
